Ragi flour sprouted

Ragi Millet or finger millet is one of the traditional grain used in olden days. It is rich in protein, iron and contains all vital nutrients.The flour was made at home. But now a days we are buying Store made flour which may not be organic .It is simple to grind ragi flour at home. Make this flour at home and do all dishes and get the full health benefits of ragi.

Ingredients

  1. Ragi Millet-2 kgs
  2. Water

Method

The ragi millet might contain small stones so remove the stones.The sprouted ragi millet has more nutrients compared to non sprouted millet.Wash and  soak in water for 5 hours.At night filter the water and transfer the ragi millet to a clean cloth and tie the cloth tightly.In the morning there will be small sprouts in the millet.At That time dry the millet under sun till the moisture is dried.

At this stage you can give it to the flour mill to grind. Then Store in  a tight container to avoid bugs.Use the homemade ragi flour in dished like ragi kanji,dosa,ragi pakkoda,ragi cake  and be healthy.
