Mini Badusha

Badusha is a sweet made for festivtals  and functions. We prefer to buy badusha from resturants and sweet shops. But have you tried at home? We like to eat mini badusha more than the big ones. We can make it at home in 30 minutes and give your family a  soft healthy homemade badusha.Kids will love them a lot. 

Ingredients
All purpose flour (maida)-2 cups 
Melted ghee 1/2 cup
Baking soda -1/2 teaspoon 
Baking powder-1/4 teaspoon 
Sugar- 1 cup
Water -1 cup
Lemon -half
Water 
Oil for frying 
A pinch of salt 

Method
In a bowl add maida, baking powder, baking soda,salt and mix well. Then add  melted ghee and knead well. Try to form a soft  dough if required add water. Knead the dough for 5 minutes .Then flatten the dough  on a plate and cut it to half .Again knead to form a dough. Again flatten the dough and cut it. Again Keand to form a dough. Repeat the process for five minutes.This process gives  softness to the dough and helps to make soft badushas.  Then cover the dough with a wet cloth for 30 minutes .After half an hour make small balls with the dough and slightly flatten it on your palms to form a shape of mini badusha.After  that add oil for deep frying in a Kadai and heat in medium flame.Do the temperaute check by adding a small portion of the dough. If it comes up without browning the oil is in correct temperature.Add the flattened badushas one by one in the oil and fry till golden brown. It will get fried quickly. Be careful don't burn the badusha.In a pan add water ,Sugar and half lemon .Boil it in medium flame and keep on stiring.Once the sugar syrup becomes  sticky  and thick and reaches single sting consistency switch off the stove.Add the fried badushas  to the sugar syrup. And leave it in for 20-25 mintutes .The badushas will obsorb the sugar syrup .Trasfer  to a plate. Serve the yummy Mouthwatering badushas.It will be a great sweet  for festivals and guests at home.
