Ghee Appam

 All of us love sweets and have our own favourite sweets. There are many common sweets which we buy or make at home. But have you tried the ghee appam .It is a quick  sweet to treat your unexpected guests.This recipe can be made in 20 minutes.And will be loved by young ones to adults. 

Ingredients

Idli rice - 1 cup

Raw rice - 1 cup

Urad dal-1/4 cup

Feungreek -1 teaspoon

Jaggery -1 1/2 cups

Grated coconut -3 tablespoons

Cardamom -3

Ghee- 3 tablespoons.

Method

Wash and soak the rice and urad dal for 1 hour.In a blender add rice and urad dal and Feungreek ,pulse the blender in  reverse for  2-3 times ,now add jaggery,coconut and cardamom, blend to a smooth batter.Leave it for 1/2 hour. In a Kadai add ghee and heat  in medium flame till ghee melts. In a spoon put little batter into the Kadai. The appam should come out pluffy then only the oil is in correct temperature.At a time add only 1 appam and fry till golden brown and soft transfer to a plate. The yummy ghee appam is ready to serve. Enjoy soft hot ghee appam.
